Values
Our values lay the foundation for what we care about most, and created a sense of shared identity for all employees throughout the Group. These values are the thread which runs through everything that we do:
The Target Healthcare Group is a niche pharmaceutical developer, manufacturer and supplier to the retail pharmacy, hospital, wholesaler, and homecare markets. Within the Group, there are two key businesses – Target Healthcare and Quantum Pharmaceutical.
We are the UK's leading manufacturer and supplier of unlicensed medicines and hard-to-source products. We manufacture everything from creams, gels and ointments through to ‘aseptically prepared’ cancer chemotherapy drugs. Proudly, we offer an unrivalled product range, and are known for our knowledge and exceptional customer service.
Throughout the UK we employ over 300 people including pharmacists, skilled technicians, HR, IT, procurement, warehouse, logistics, commercial and customer services staff.
We have over 20 unique departments which work seamlessly together to ensure that patients get their medication on time, every time. Here are some examples of the variety of roles that we offer:
Our Compounders work in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment and are responsible for manufacturing and checking orders for a variety of unlicenced medicinal products. In addition to manufacturing, our Compounders manage stock replenishment, decontamination and environmental monitoring of the Compounding Units.
Our Customer Service teams work on the ‘front line’ supporting pharmacy and hospital queries over the phone, email and on-line. This team work in a fast-paced environment and processing orders for manufacture and/or delivery. In addition, our Customer Service team provide information on medicines to our customers and source hard-to-find products.
Our QA Team act as the conduit between our regulatory bodies and the rest of the team. Quality Assurance Officers are responsible for ensuring compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP); and for promoting quality compliance and performance improvement throughout the Group.
Our Releasing Officers are responsible for releasing ‘compounded products’, ready for patients to use. As well as undertaking a variety of quality control duties, they actively work towards increasing the shelf life of finished products and investigate new product opportunities including conducting development work, raw material procurement and searching for published stability data.
Our Warehouse Operatives are the lifeblood of our logistics operation. The sort and place products onto racks and shelves, perform stock counts and computerised inventory controls; and pick, pack and despatch orders for various couriers. This active team work around the clock to make sure that patients, hospitals and pharmacies get lifesaving medication on time, every time.
Our 'non-sterile' manufacturing teams make a range of licensed and unlicensed medicinal products - from creams and ointments to suspensions and solutions. Our Production Technicians ensure that all products are manufactured accurately and in a timely manner. A technical role, in our production team you’d be tasked with weighing, measuring, mixing, and blending various raw materials.
